The Eastern Shore Alano Club was founded in October 2003 to have a safe and inclusive location for those fighting addictive and compulsive behaviors. Although not affiliated with any twelve-step recovery group, it supports this approach of recovery. The groups that use the Club Facilities for their meetings subscribe to the principals of 12 Step Recovery, and as an organization of our own, employ the traditions of this program to ensure meetings are regularly available.
As ESAC looks to the future, the organization is eager to become a major force in the sponsorship of recovery programs in the region. With adequate funding, we will be able to do more than keep our doors open; we will have the ability to meet the needs of recovery clinics, educational programs, and individuals in need of assistance.
ESAC is overseen by a Board of Directors. Board members are elected members who are not paid for their services.
